Life Changes, Parenting, & Care Giving

We know that the only constant is change. Change can create major emotional distress for us, as we are wired to prefer the comfort and safety of what we already know.  Life is full of experiences that push us out of our comfort zones. They may cause struggles with our personal identities (Who am I?), create feelings of insecurity, increase stress, or leave us feeling lost. Parenting is one of the most rewarding jobs, but it definitely comes with its set of challenges! Most parents struggle with balance and self-care at some point and may find it difficult to manage all the feelings that parenting can bring up.  Likewise, if you are taking care of a parent or another loved one who is suffering from an illness or injury, you may also struggle with similar issues of balance, self-care, relationships or isolation, guilt, identity, career challenges, and stress.
